Sunday Workouts

Who doesn't love working out on a beautiful Sunday?

I should've done a workout outside with this nice weather, but I decided to hit the gym. Today I did a bicep and ab circuit.

Fall weather picture via google search

READY? Set your watch for 15 minutes and complete as many sets as you can of each workout

hammer curls on bosu ball x 12
alternating bicep curls on bosu ball x 15
[insert pylo move for 30 seconds here] (i.e. jumping jacks, lateral hops, step ups, etc)
E-Z bar curl x 12 (heavy)
[insert pylo move for 30 seconds here]
21's with straight bar
10 burpees
and REPEAT :)

I completed the fat burning ab workout in the newest Oxygen magazine and instead of doing it for 25 minutes with 30 second rest in between each workout I did it for 15 with no rest.

Hope you enjoy!

starting the morning right with clean eating pumpkin oatmeal

I have been craving a pumpkin spiced latte or frappe from Starbucks and decided to have this instead:

                                         Pumpkin Spiced Oatmeal
Here's what you do:
Mix together 1/2 cup oatmeal; 1/4 cup of water; 1/4 cup canned (organic) pumpkin; 1 scoop vanilla whey protein isolate; 1tbsp of natural almond butter; 1tsp of vanilla; 1tsp of cinnamon; 1 tsp of allspice; 1tsp of pumpkin spice

Other additions that would be good would be:
Raisins and walnuts
Subsitute 1/4 c. of water for 1/4 c. of your choice of milk (see below for info about milk)
1tbsp of cream cheese or cottage cheese (for a creamier texture)
1tbsp of sugar free hazelnut coffee creamer or french vanilla coffee creamer
1tbsp of pure maple syrup

mix in a bowl and bake at 350 for 20 minutes; let cool and ENJOY :)

See oxygen magazine's article about varieties of  milk

For whey protein isolate I use muscle gauge nutrition's vanilla caramel
